A Day with the internally displaced kids

We are pleased to inform the General public that  Kids’ Hall Of Talents Foundation  organised a grand event for Internally displaced kids in Bamenda, aimed at rehabilitating,comforting, educating and giving hope to our internal displaced kids in a bid to enhance their moral, psychological and emotional restitution.
The first phase of the Program was a great success.
The event comprised of lots of educative, interesting and entertaining activities for the kids and the distribution of some basic items like buckets, study materials, dresses, shoes etc.
All kids who participated did so for free.

Participation

In line with the event for Internally Displaced kids that took place on the 3rd of March 2019 in Bamenda, it was important that records
of all the kids participated be kept. The registration list comprised of the following;

  • Name
  • Age
  • Sex
  • Previous Location
  • Current Location
  • Parent/Guardian’s contact.

That was all for registration. We envisaged and covered transport fare for all the kids thanks to our donors and supporters.

The fact that some kids are displaced doesn’t make them lesser kids than others. Considering the horrors and devastating effects of the crises and the psychological trauma and frustration brought on kids, Kids Hall of Talent Foundation and The Labang Education Foundation engaged this program to rehabilitate the displaced kids psychologically ,emotionally ,and morally in a typically educative and fun filled way. This first phase involved over 50 kids that came from villages like; Kwa kwa, Jakiri, Batibo, Meta, Bafut, Lebialem, Belo, Njinikom, Ndop etc that are seeking refuge in the City of Bamenda.
It was just so sorrowful hearing the kids narrate the stories that caused them to become displaced. However the leisure, first aid and other interesting activities inspired, rekindled hope and put smiles on their faces.
We wish to immensely thank all those that supported us and the kids during this first phase. Lets keep thinking about the kids as we prepare for the second phase.
